Sisters Michelle Marshall and Annie Swann from Harvey Self Drive, based in Hassocks in Sussex, have had their own Mini adventure driving through some of Europe’s most stunning scenery, and all in aid of raising money for charity.

The Italian Job Touring Adventure is a driving adventure through some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe and a fundraising challenge in aid of children's charities combined. What’s not to like?
Fifty teams took part in this year’s event which was open to Minis and all other cars which featured in the 1969 film of the same name. Since 1990 The Italian Job has raised over £2 million for charity.
This year, the charity Buttle UK will benefit from the thousands raised from the event. Buttle UK helps children and young people in need across the UK. The charity awards grants to meet the critical needs of individual children and young people whose safety, health or development are at risk.
This is the second year that Michelle and Annie have taken part in the driving adventure, the last time being in 2009. This year, Michelle and Annie took part in their Cooper SV. The adventure began on 20th October in Imola in Bologna in Italy, before ending their journey on 2nd November in London.
Speaking to us before their adventure Michelle commented, “We will be travelling through Italy, Tuscany and France with many types of vehicles used in the original movie. For two weeks, we will be two sisters having a great time raising money for Buttle UK.”
In addition to advertising on the car, Michelle and Annie have also been doing additional fundraising events including a ladies’ cheese and whine evening, pamper day, and an afternoon tea.
Although Michelle and Annie have completed the event, they are still hoping to raise further funds for Buttle UK and would love to reach their £3,000 target.
